4 Star, First Class Traditional Hotel
The hotel is located in the very heart of Copenhagen, near to the famous Tivoli Gardens, close to the central station and the shopping area. One could not be more central.
The rooms have all been renovated in 2005 and are in an excellent condition. They are medium size, but vary in shape. As part of the refurbishment the textiles were replaced so they are fresh and stylish but in keeping with the heritage and period of the hotel. Modern facilities are found in each room in the shape of internet connections and stylish TV's. The bathrooms are in good condition.
Frascati is a cosy but modern restaurant on the ground floor, serving Italian food. It also serves an extensive buffet breakfast to the hotel guests.
It is a well maintained traditional building, dating from 1890. It is a 6 storey pale blue and white building, very impressive to look at.
The lobby is brightly furnished with marble and wood, but it is quite small. There is limited seating area. The lobby retains a traditional feel with modern furnishings. There is a very warm, homely feel on entering.
As the hotel is a listed building, all renovation programmes have to take the original style into consideration, (this leads to small lifts and some long corridors). All together the hotel has maintained charm and style in a perfect location.
